Field Personnel Vacancies in Northern Aotea
Updated: Aug 5

Tū Mai Taonga is a mana whenua-led conservation project located on the stunning Aotea/Great Barrier Island in the Hauraki Gulf. The island is fully off-grid and teaming with native bush and rare endemic species. The project seeks to remove feral cats and rats from Aotea so that taonga species can thrive once again.
As part of this long-term vision, the project is now seeking to fill a number of contracted junior and senior field roles. The field team will begin with training, team building and cutting trap lines in rugged country. Later, the work will involve trapping in remote areas and staying overnight in forest huts, with all expenses covered.
No experience is necessary for junior field roles as full training will be provided, including NZQA accredited qualifications.
