The New Zealand Police have commended the Tū Mai Taonga team for assisting them in a search and rescue for a young child lost on Aotea, Great Barrier Island.
The crew - which is trained in tracking elusive predators, turned their skills into helping Police track the lost child and were successful in locating the student safe and well.
